Lens Impression
西暦２０００年を記念してライカ社は「ライカM6TTL0.72ミレニアム」を発売しましたが、合わせて５０㎜のズミルックスｆ1.4と３５㎜のズミクロンｆ2.0が製造され、ボディは2,500,000番からの2000台、レンズはズミクロンが4,000,000万番からの2000本、ズミルックスが4,010,000番からの2000本が売り出されました。カメラボディを購入した人には同じ下4桁のレンズの購入権があるというような販売方法ではなかったかと思います。
この製造番号はまとまった番号を下4桁をそろえて確保する必要があったため、当時の通常生産ラインの番号からは少し飛ばしてアサインされましたので、この番号付近には、製造が後にも拘わらず番号はより若いという個体も存在します。
この35mmミレニアムレンズは通常の35mmＡＳＰＨとレンズ自体は同じですが、鏡胴はブラックペイントで仕上げられています。このブラックペイントは非常に光沢があるので、一見プラスチックではないかと錯覚してしまうくらいですが、実際は真鍮にブラックペイントされていますので、見た目の感覚よりもずっしりと重く、8枚玉が140g程度なのに対し、こちらは340gと2倍以上の重さです。
もちろん描写は破綻の全くないもので、この滲みレンズのHPに入れるのもどうかとは思いますが、まあ、ご了承ください。
Leica company produced Leica M6TTL 0.72 Millennium model to commemorate

summicron 35mmf2.0 whose serial numbers are 2000 modesl from number 2,500,000 for camera body , 2000 models

the same last 4 digits, as I remembered but no so sure.
As they had to keep continuous 2000 serial numbers for cameras and lenses,
those serial numbers were assigned a little further numbers with a little
jump from the actual serial number at that time , so some lenses
have younger numbers than millennium lenses even they were made later than
millenniu.
This millennium lens has the same lens composition with normal Summicron
35mm ASPH, but the lens body was black painted. This black paint looks
so shiny that is illusive to give image as plastic made, but actually it
is so heavy because it is painted on blass body which has more than double
weight of 340g compared with 140g of Summicron 35mm f2 8elements.
